I wanna be around

a very rare fresco fragment from Mesopotamia.: a one-horse war chariot. 2400-600 BCE.

Why does most state art that survives, fragmentarily, from authoritarian forms of government, have propagandistic threats about "others", and aggressive military imagery - from earliest times even up to this morning (maybe saying something about absolutism and our government's position on the republic-autocracy spectrum, and historic eventuality)?
